前言 Foreword

油画作为一个外来画种,经历四百余年的发展,早已内化成为中国美术家得心应手的表达媒介和表现载体之一,更是中国视觉文化体系的重要组成部分。伴随油画的引入、传播,以及教育和创作体系的建构过程,中国的油画家逐渐在思想观念、文化意识以及语言形态等方面形成某种主体自觉,并持续地推进话语方式的探索。进入新时代,一方面,中国油画对于自身文脉及精神的延承和彰显达到新的维度;另一方面,在全球化和逆全球化高度交织的复杂的国际化语境下,其如何以一种更具张力的跨文化视域促进观念更新和语言迭变业已成为极为重要的议题。

“思想的形状”正是要讨论新时代中国油画多元话语探索所塑就的诸种形状。这些话语的探索首先关乎油画的主题叙事、图式语言、物质材料等“绘画性”的核心层面,其次则涉及跨媒介、跨文本等新的话语规则构成的“语际迁移”的多维延展。而话语的背后是思想,支撑话语体系的是人文思想和精神内涵的自足自洽。因此,中国油画的话语方式的探索所依托的是其哲学和思想层面的主体性建构。它建基于对国家、民族的历史文化与精神内核的审视和诠释,对传统与当代之间一以贯之的中国思维线索的探寻,对自主评价体系的努力建设。立足新时代,我们应在思想立场、语言体系、评价系统等方面加强建构,并依托中国油画的主体性,与世界对话,回应时代命题。

本次展览是广州美术学院联合相关领域重要学者推进“中国油画主体性及新时代话语体系研究”的成果之一,邀请中国当代油画界具有代表性的艺术家参展,并配合部分经典馆藏和文献,从“表情”“景观”“观念”“文脉”等四个方面,呈现新时代中国油画话语探索以及思想观念、语言体系的主体性建构,将“中国油画”问题置于变动中的全球化语境激发新的对话和碰撞。

As a foreign painting, oil painting has experienced more than 400 years of development, and has long been internalized into one of the media and carriers of expression that Chinese artists are comfortable with, and it is also an important part of China's visual culture system. With the introduction and dissemination of oil painting, as well as the construction process of education and creation system, Chinese oil painters gradually formed a certain subject consciousness in the aspects of ideology, cultural consciousness and language form, and continued to promote the exploration of discourse modes. Entering the new era, on the one hand, the continuation and manifestation of Chinese oil painting to its own context and spirit have reached a new dimension; On the other hand, in the complex international context where globalization and anti-globalization are highly interwoven, how to promote conceptual renewal and language change with a more intense cross-cultural perspective has become a very important issue.

"The Shape of Thought" is to discuss the various shapes formed by the multi-discourse exploration of Chinese oil painting in the new era. The exploration of these discourses first concerns the core level of "painterliness" of oil painting, such as thematic narrative, schema language and materials, and secondly involves the multi-dimensional extension of "inter-lingual transfer" composed of new discourses rules such as cross-media and cross-text. Behind the discourse is thought, and what supports the discourse system is the self-sufficiency and self-consistency of humanistic thought and spiritual connotation. Therefore, the exploration of the discourse mode of Chinese oil painting relies on the subjectivity construction of its philosophy and ideological level. It is based on the examination and interpretation of the historical culture and spiritual core of the country and the nation, the exploration of the consistent clues of Chinese thinking between tradition and contemporary, and the construction of the independent evaluation system. Based on the new era, we should strengthen the construction of ideological stance, language system, evaluation system and other aspects, and rely on the subjectivity of Chinese oil painting, dialogue with the world, response to the proposition of the era.

This exhibition is one of the achievements of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in cooperation with important scholars in relevant fields to promote the "Research on the Subjectivity of Chinese Oil Painting and the Discourse System of the New Era", inviting representative artists in the contemporary Chinese oil painting field to participate in the exhibition, and cooperating with some classic collections and documents, from the four aspects of "expression", "landscape", "concept" and "context", it presents the discourse exploration of Chinese oil painting in the new era and the subjectivity construction of ideological concepts and language systems, and places the issue of "Chinese oil painting" in the changing global context to stimulate new dialogue and encounter.
