“后山记2024——王绍强作品展”在广州开展，展期至11月16日

自然、人文、地理……从少年至今，这个漫长的旅途中，艺术家王绍强在观念上越古穿今，在地理上横跨东西南北，从观察、研究到实践，一直坚持探索万物与心境变化的外在或内在关联性。当年上古的《河图洛书》为后山新语开了新篇，艺术家以观察者和创作者的身份去阅读、思考和实验，在某种意义上完成当代艺术从观念到实践的多元转换，在《复式》创作理念的基础上进一步挖掘当代形态和画学原理之间的关系，开始将关注点从画面的形式表达转向抽象形态。

在艺术探索的过程中，角度的转变是推动艺术实践的关键。昔日《后汉书·方术传下》有“壶中天地”；“有我之境，以我观物，故物皆著我之色。”王国维在《人间词话》中强调人与自然和谐共生的思想。从最初注重技法表现，到后来关注作品背后的文化内涵和哲学思考，创作逐渐从形式探索走向形式与内容的合二为一。通过自然与人文地理的考察，将个人情感与地域文化紧密结合，展现了不同背景下的人文景观与心灵感受，实现了从一维向多元视角的转变。

从流动的水墨、点、线、面的深入探索，到以书写为核心展开的笔墨观念，在文化史、观念史、哲学、人类学等多重学科的交叉重叠中，不断与当下最前沿的科技进行碰撞，从中萌生许多新的创作灵感。这种探索下的创新和转变不仅仅是风格上的变化，更是一种观念和视觉表达的创新。水墨实验与多媒介创作体系的结合，通过不同载体展现了当代水墨的多样性和无限可能。这种观念与手法的转变不仅丰富着个体的艺术语言，也拓宽了艺术表达的边界。后山记是记录日常与心路。2024“处处都是外人”第60届威尼斯艺术双年展的参展经历、苏州博物馆的“清光不辨——王绍强作品展”、第14届全国美展中国画展，2024年5月广东美术馆新馆开馆大展等的点点滴滴都是值得记录的事件。2024年是不平凡的年份，也是后山开启新的艺术道路的新起点！

After Hill 2024:

Nature, culture, geography... Ever since he was young, artist Wang Shaoqiang has explored the external or internal correlations between all things and changes in state of mind, spanning from observation, research to practice. The ancient Hetu Luoshu opened up a new chapter for After Hill. Mr. Wang has read, pondered, and experimented as an observer and creator, completing the diverse transformation of contemporary art from concept to practice in a sense. Based on the creative concept of duplex, the relationship between contemporary form and painting principles was further explored, and the focus shifted from the formal expression of the picture to abstract form.

In the process of artistic exploration, the change of perspective is the key to promoting artistic practice. In Biography of Fangshu from Book of Later Han included the phrase “Heaven and Earth in a Pot”, and “I am in the context and observing, therefore all objects are including my features". Wang Guowei emphasized the idea of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature in his book Poetic Remarks in the Human World. 

Mr. Wang, from initially focusing on technical expression, to paying attention to the cultural connotations and philosophical reflections behind the work, has gradually shifted from exploring form to integrating form and content in his artworks. Through the investigation of natural and human geography, personal emotions are closely integrated with regional culture, showcasing cultural landscapes and feelings under different backgrounds, and he has realized a transformation from one-dimensional to multi-dimensional perspectives. From in-depth exploration of flowing ink, dots, lines, and surfaces to the concept of brush and ink centered on writing and expressing, constantly colliding with the most cutting-edge technology in multiple disciplines such as cultural history, conceptual history, philosophy, and anthropology, Mr. Wang has had many new creative inspirations. The innovation and transformation under this exploration is not only a change in style, but also an innovation in concept and visual expression. 

The combination of ink painting experiments and multimedia creative systems showcases the diversity and infinite possibilities of contemporary ink painting through different mediums. The transformation of this concept and technique not only enriches artistic language, but also broadens the boundaries of artistic expression. After Hill is a record of daily life and inner thoughts. The 60th Venice Art Biennale titled “Stranieri Ovunque - Foreigners Everywhere” in 2024, the “Dreamy Gloss - Wang Shaoqiang Works Exhibition” at Suzhou Museum, the 14th National Art Exhibition Chinese Painting Exhibition, and the opening exhibition of the new Guangdong Museum of Art in May 2024 are all noteworthy events. 2024 is an extraordinary year and a new starting point for the development of art in After Hill!
