张万凌出生于50年代，是一位来自西部的油画家，曾经长时间地去表现他所熟悉的黄土高原，他的作品寄托着他对家乡浓厚的关切与情感。黄土高原也成为他几十年来油画创作的最为重要的构成。近十年移居上海，来到了清丽俊秀的江南水乡，开启了一段新的创作历程。创作风格亦从西北的粗粝与厚重转向了轻松与自然，作品多了一份舒展与惬意，平静与恬淡。无论是画人物还是风景，都有着他不同寻常的哲性与诗性互通互动的关照，他的审美理想不是乌托邦式的，而是直面现实人生和生存境况，将高于自然，高于真实的美学通过自己的艺术语言表达出来。两个阶段的变化，使他的作品绽放出璀璨的光芒，更加充满魅力。

Zhang Wanling is an oil painter born in the 1950s from the west. He used to express the Loess Plateau, which he is familiar with, for a long time. His works express his deep concern and emotion for his hometown. The Loess Plateau has also become the most important composition of his oil paintings for decades. After moving to Shanghai in the past ten years, he came to the beautiful Jiangnan water town, and started a new creative process. The creative style has also changed from the rough and heavy in the northwest to the relaxed and natural, and the works are more stretched and comfortable, calm and tranquil. Whether it is painting figures or landscapes, there is his unusual philosophical and poetic interaction and care. His aesthetic ideal is not utopian, but confronts the reality of life and living conditions, and will be higher than nature and reality. Aesthetics is expressed through its own artistic language. The changes in the two stages make his works shine brightly and full of charm.

张巍出生于70年代末期，生长环境的丰富性注定了他以后的艺术创作是多姿多彩的，张巍自小受其父影响，经常随父亲外出写生。对生活的感悟，对生命的怜惜，自小便深烙在张巍的心底。他多次去甘南藏区写生的经历也培养了张巍对神秘藏文化的兴趣。在深刻汲取和享受油画艺术精髓的同时，也毫不自闭的融入了自身的心灵色彩。他将孩童的神性融合到唐卡艺术中，创作出承载过去与现在的作品。他没有遵循学院派，老一辈的艺术传统，开创了自己的艺术方向。他运用精细的线条、独特的视角、明快的色彩，使其艺术主体儿童闪烁着仿若神性的光芒，璀璨夺目。

Zhang Wei was born in the late 1970s, and the richness of his growing environment predestined his future artistic creation to be colorful. Zhang Wei was influenced by his father since he was a child, and he often went out to sketch with his father. The perception of life and the pity for life have been deeply etched in Zhang Wei's heart since he was a child. His experience of sketching in Gannan Tibetan area many times also cultivated Zhang Wei's interest in mysterious Tibetan culture. While deeply absorbing and enjoying the essence of oil painting art, he also integrates his own spiritual color without autism. He integrates the divinity of children into thangka art, creating works that convey the past and the present. He did not follow the academic, older generation's artistic traditions and created his own artistic direction. He uses fine lines, unique perspectives, and bright colors to make the subject of his art, the child, shimmering with divine light, dazzling.

本次张万凌、张巍父子二人艺术作品联展，虽然创作风格，艺术语言不同，但艺术的精神一直指导着他们的艺术实践。他们的艺术创作体现了两代艺术家对于自己所处不同时代生活的思考与体悟，可谓是艺道同源，此次展览，张万凌、张巍父子两代人用不同的艺术语言向我们传达生命的璀璨。

In this joint exhibition of Zhang Wanling and Zhang Wei's art works, although the creative style and artistic language are different, the spirit of art has always guided their artistic practice. Their artistic creations reflect the thinking and understanding of the two generations of artists about their lives in different eras. They can be said to be of the same origin of art. In this exhibition, Zhang Wanling and Zhang Wei use different artistic languages to convey the meaning of life——bright to us.
