济南托马斯学校的办学理念,决定了教师们的教育教学理念,其中,“任务型教学”(Task-based Teaching)和“合作学习”(Collaborative Learning)是打造以学生为中心的活力课堂的有效的工具性教法。
The school mission of Jinan Thomas School determines our teaching philosophy,among which are two effective instrumental teaching methodologies:task-based teaching and collaborative learning that aim for student-centered dynamic classroom.
暑期教师培训班上,戴臣军副校长和武树滨校长分别就两个主题做了全员培训。
In summer teacher training session,Vice-principal Dai Chenjun and Principal Wu Shubin have made systematic instructions on these two topics for all teachers.
转眼,已经开学一个多月的时间了。
How time flies!It has been over one month since our school started.
为了检验老师们对于这两种基础教法的理解和实施情况,同时,进一步鼓励和鞭策全体教师大胆试新、精益求精和提高授课效率与效果,高中部率先在全校开展全学科教学比武。
In order to both check teachers’understanding and implementation of these two teaching strategies and encourage and motivate all teachers to be more innovative,to keep improving and enhance teaching efficiency,High School Department first launched all-subject teaching competition in our school.
比武于10月21日正式开始,24日上午结束。
The competition began on October 21st and ended on the morning of October 24th.
首先,教师发展中心统计和公布比武课时间表。之后,老师们要至少选择跟本人教学最相关的五堂课进行观摩、记录和反馈。
First of all,Center of Teachers Professional Development made and issued competition schedule.Then,teachers chose at least five subjects most related to their own subjects to observe,record and feedback.
最后,在25日的学部教研例会时间进行集中分享和讨论。
At last,those observations and comments were collectively shared and discussed in routine teaching seminar held on October 25th.
到校进行督导的美国TJ专家Paul Cammer博士也参与了部分教研活动。
Doctor Paul Cammer from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology,during his visit to our school,also participated part of teaching seminar.
教研会上,戴校长首先对这次教学比武中老师们的表现给予了肯定。
In teaching seminar,Principal Dai,first affirmed the performance of the teachers in the competition.
同时,他也指出了这次比武课所反映出的问题,并提出了中肯的改进建议。
At the same time,he also pointed out the problems reflected in the contest and put forward pertinent suggestions for improvement.
之后,全体教师进行了自由交流和反馈,大家畅所欲言,既指出听课的收获,又客观地提出可行性优化建议,整个交流热烈,教研氛围浓厚。
After that,all teachers had a free exchange and feedback,and everyone spoke freely,not only pointing out the harvest of observation,but also objectively putting forward feasible optimization suggestions.The whole exchange was warm and the teaching research atmosphere was strong.
大家的思想在交流中得到升华,教学技能在讨论中得到打磨。
Everyone's ideas are sublimated in communication,and teaching skills are polished in discussion.
教学是一门艺术,也是一门永远留有遗憾的艺术,因为每堂课都不会完美、都有改进和提升的空间。
Teaching is not only an art,but also an art with regret forever,because every class will not be perfect and there will be room for improvement.
这一轮的实践和反思过后,迎来的是下一轮的再实践与再反思。学校的办学质量在很大程度上取决于每一节课的质量,济南托马斯高中部的老师们会把这种工匠精神进行到底!
