ASDAN中国（阿思丹学院）举办的“2020年袋鼠数学竞赛”在线上及考点学校同时进行。
On April 18,2020,ASDAN China(ASDAN Academy)held the"2020 Math Kangaroo Competition"online and offline at the same time.
来自济南托马斯实验学校的13名学生与全国其他近3880所国际学校、重点高中的近22000名同学共同参与此次参赛。
13 students from Jinan Thomas School participated in the competition together with nearly 22,000 students from other 3880 international schools and key high schools across the country.
在本次比赛中，济南托马斯初中部学子共获得了2个银奖，1个铜奖，1个数学技能奖。他们分别是：

袋鼠数学竞赛由澳大利亚著名数学家Peter O’Halloran于1980年发起。
The Math Kangaroo Competition was proposed in 1980 by Peter O'Halloran,a famous mathematician in Australia.
1991年，法国两位著名数学教育家成立正式竞赛组委会并在欧洲推广该项赛事，为了向Peter O’Halloran致敬，将该竞赛正式取名为“袋鼠数学竞赛”。
In 1991,two famous French mathematics educators set up a formal competition organizing committee and promoted the competition in Europe.In honor of Peter O'Halloran,the competition was officially named"Math Kangaroo".
不同于传统数学奥赛强调的高难度和挑战性，袋鼠数学竞赛宗旨是用有趣生动、接近生活的题目，激发孩子们数学学习兴趣及自信，培养学生数学思维，训练学生阅读、理解、分析和解决问题能力，适合各年级各种数学水平同学参加。
Different from the high difficulty and challenge emphasized by the traditional mathematics Olympiad,the main purpose of Math Kangaroo is to promote children’s mathematical thinking,stimulate children’s interest in math and train students to read,understand,analyze and solve problems by using interesting and vivid topics close to life,which is suitable for students from any mathematical levels.
因此，袋鼠数学竞赛逐步风靡世界，成为全球极具影响力的青少年国际数学竞赛，87个国家和地区举办、每年超过600万学生参加。
Math Kangaroo is now the largest competition for school students in the world,with over 6 million participants from 87 countries.
2019年，ASDAN中国（阿思丹学院）正式与袋鼠数学国际委员会达成独家战略合作，成为袋鼠数学竞赛中国赛区组委会，致力于把这项国际著名的数学兴趣活动推荐给中国青少年数学爱好者。
ASDAN China(ASDAN Academy)and Math Kangaroo have formed a partnership to bring the Math Kangaroo Competition to China from 2019.It is committed to recommending this internationally renowned mathematics interest activity to Chinese young mathematics enthusiasts.
优秀考生将获得由组委会颁发的奖项，奖项设置分为全球奖项（成就奖，满分同学将获该奖项），中国区奖项（超级金奖、金奖、银奖、铜奖、数学技能奖）。
Outstanding candidates will receive the awards issued by the organizing committee.The awards are divided into global awards(achievement awards,full score students will receive the awards),and awards in China(super gold,gold,silver,bronze,and math skills awards).
